Statement on London terror attack
7 July 2005
The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) UK
expresses its deep regret and sympathy to all those who have been injured
and bereaved by the appalling terrorist attacks across London.
Lord Krishna devotees across the United Kingdom are deeply saddened
by the terrorist atrocities which have brought havoc to the City of
London, claiming innocent lives and injuring scores of commuters.
His Grace Praghosa dasa,
the Governing Body Commissioner and leader of ISKCON UK said in a statement:
"Terrorism is an abomination that threatens the lives of all,
irrespective of their culture, race, religion or creed. It is important
that during times of such barbarism the people and leaders of all faiths
stand shoulder to shoulder and defeat ungodliness."
"We pray that peace will come to those who have been afflicted
by such acts, and we offer our closeness at such difficult times."
he continued.
Issued on behalf of the ISKCON (UK) by:
