Cooking on a wood fire set in the ground, Parasurama fed thousands
three times a day.
At the end, 17,000 plates of rice, subji, and halavah had been
given out to hungry people, some of whom had waited an hour
or more for the privilege. If each person who has been touched by
the devotees' kindness and cheer merely tells three others, what
a singularly important event this one festival has been.
